Tim Pollitz
Discipleship and Outreach Pastor
Tim Pollitz
What is your role at FAC?
Currently, my role is the discipleship and Outreach pastor. In regards to discipleship, I help oversee the small groups and classes that are currently happening within our church body throughout the week. Though not perfect, by God's grace, my heart is to help foster an organic, discipleship pathway where people are growing in the Lord, in the context of an authentic biblical Christian community for Kingdom impact!
Also, to strengthen an Ephesians 4:12 ministry in our local church, whereby believers in Christian community, have identified and are exercising their spiritual gifts in Christ, for the purpose that they can "...equip the saints for the work of ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ." (Ephesians 4:2)
When it comes to outreach, I help oversee the Fall Festival and Live Nativity each year, with an excellent team. In addition, my desire is to continue to provide biblical in-class and hands-on "field" experiences for our church to grow in evangelism, taking faith-filled risks, all the while learning to as they depend upon the Holy Spirit and God's faithfulness.
How long have you been at FAC?
1 year.
What do you love about being a part of the FAC family of faith?
Tell us about your family and your interests outside of ministry.
I am married to my beautiful wife, Meredith for almost 13 years. Time flies. Love you honey, forever always! We try to find some "moments together" and grab a date night here or there (Thanks to wonderful parents of ours). We have 4 gifts from God, our kids Raelynn (11), Jonah (9), Nathan (7), Isaiah (almost 2). Our family (kids and me) are very "loud" at dinner time, Feel bad for my wife, on that note. Our family enjoys sports, in particular basketball, football, soccer, running around. Enjoy getting outside, going to the YMCA, riding bikes (if everyone's bikes are working), playing the infamous "Monster" (Dad's form of tag game), watching a family movie on the weekend (popcorn!), walking some trails, having other families over, etc. Truly blessed by God.
What is your previous training, ministry, and mission experience?
Went to Ashland Theological Seminary School (almost received certificate there). Then, I was the Youth for Christ of Miami Valley director for Darke County North schools for 4 1/2 years. From there, God called me to be the youth pastor at CMA church in Greenville, Ohio for a few years. I finished becoming ordained through the Christian and Missionary Alliance. After that, I basically stepped in to be a volunteer "interim pastor/elder" with a fabulous group of men at CMA church in 2021. Then, received the call in Spring of 2022 to come on to Faith Alliance church.
